Plaza Apartment is the first SF affordable housing built to the standards of the Green Communities Criteria. This is part of the SF Mayor's program of providing healthy, energy-efficient apartments for people in need. This project is a new 9-story concrete structure including 106-mini studio single room occupancy (S.R.O.) very low income apartments, ground floor retail space, residential tenant community space, management offices, and support spaces. Open space courtyard is provided along the East side of the property fronting Howard St.

TECI Civil engineering services for this LEED building begins at schematic and through construction administration phases. Construction Drawings included Site Improvement, Grading, Utility and Erosion Control plans. TECI also prepared the specification and provided Construction Administration services for the civil portion of the work.
